Skate For Mark GetABoard Foundation Photo Album

A fellow skateboarder(he ripped!) and friend of the Central Florida community passed away recently. GetABoard Foundation put on a #SkateForMark contest at Candyland Skatepark in Longwood, Florida that we were proud to be a part of. It was a great turn out to remember who Mark was. We hope this goes on next year, so we can all come together for a great person.

4on4&extra Contest Series Party Pictures and Video

4on4&extra was a video contest series put on by skateboard local, Carlos Leon. 

Carlos put together a video contest series of local skaters doing 4 hard tricks followed by a bonus trick. 14 skaters laid it down for Orlando skateboarding and our shop hosted the awards event.

This contest series was put on to put the skateboard community together in a grassroots way. Carlos looked for people that have the skills, yet were not getting the recognition they deserved. He wanted to publish not only Galactic G team riders, but kids that were out there in Orlando putting in work.

The Winners!!

Galactic G Skateshop sponsored a video contest series from Native Roots founder Carlos Leon. Carlos is a nationally known professional skateboarder with roots from Puerto Rico and now lives in Orlando Florida.

The video contest was named 4on4&extra. The criteria was to have each skater that wanted to submit an entry do 4 of their best flat ground tricks and finish with a bonus "extra" trick as a banger.

Galactic G Comes to Lakeside Skatepark in Kissimmee Florida

Galactic G is coming this Saturday, June 27th to Lakeside Skatepark in Kissimmee, Florida for the 5th stop of the summer POP-UP contest series.

We will be bringing free food, free swag, and contest prizes for winners of best tricks and a game of SKATE.

Free Skateboard Winner from Pop-Up #4

At our latest Pop-Up contest we went out to Bithlo Skatepark in Bithlo, Florida.
The Pop-Up Contest Series is a bi-monthly contest for local skateboarders to show their stuff at their favorite and free local skateparks in Orlando, FL.

Before we left, we hid a Gold shirt and a set of wheels somewhere at the park. We then put a video out saying whoever finds the swag and brings it into the shop within 24 hours, that person will get a free skateboard. Here is our winner Drew with his free swag.

This Sunday will be our 2nd Pop-Up skateboard contest and we will be popping up at Candyland Skate Park in Longwood, Florida. Not far from downtown Orlando.

This Sunday - May 3rd - will be our first series Pop-Up at a local Orlando skatepark. Make sure you hit a local park for the chance to win "Best Trick" and a Game Of SKATE contest. We are popping up at a random park so check our Facebook page the day of May 3rd to see where we are heading.

We will be popping up to local free parks around the Orlando area, and holding a best trick contest at each park. The winner each time will have a chance to play a game of S.K.A.T.E. against one of our team riders for an additional prize package. Each winner from each park goes on to the final best trick contest which will be held at Orlando Skatepark to go against all the other winners. Contest series will be held only on the weekends.

We tried... and we failed... but we shall try try again... or something.

We entered with an ad we thought would blow your minds... an ad that only gives you a glimpse of what's in store for you if you see the full video from the QR Code.

Well today the magazine is out, the ad went live, the youtube went live... and alas, we attempt to use the QR code, and FAIL!!!  Somehow, someday, at some point, youtube changed the link to our video.  No clue how it happened but we're giving up on winning the ad contest (unless you really like us and feel bad and wanna vote here: VOTE FOR THE G).

But we won't give up on getting the video out there... because it's siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!!  Especially if you know the spot... so here it is... without any QR code...  Kenny Day, in Failed Focus Ad:
