New Longboard Skateboard Rack

During our latest remodel of the shop, we had a local fabricator make us a new rack for hanging almost 100 new longboard skateboards right as you walk in the store. The boards are now properly displayed so you can easily take them and put them on the ground to stand on before you buy it.

Because longboard skateboards very in different sizes, shapes, and flexibility, it is very important that we give our customers an easy way to identify size, colors, and the different styles of boards before they make a purchase. Our new rack from Drew McGuckin (ex pro wakeskater) came out perfect. If you are looking for fabrication work from an Orlando local, come to the shop and we can help you get in touch with him.

Galactic G Comes to Lakeside Skatepark in Kissimmee Florida

Galactic G is coming this Saturday, June 27th to Lakeside Skatepark in Kissimmee, Florida for the 5th stop of the summer POP-UP contest series.

We will be bringing free food, free swag, and contest prizes for winners of best tricks and a game of SKATE.

National Go Skateboarding Day 2015 at Galactic G Skateshop in Orlando, FL

June 21st every year marks the day that skateboarding laws are taken lightly or thrown out for that one day in most every major city in the Americas.  We here at Galactic G take this day as a religious holiday and invite EVERYONE to our shop to celebrate with Free Food, Raffle Tickets and a Free Movie Premier.

This year, we are premiering a local skateboard film that we are a major sponsor of called "A Day in Paradise."
Local pro skateboarder Carlos Leon, and other damn good kids here in town that have put in the work to be featured in this film include Kenny Day, Dexter Caruthers, Jimmy Timmons, Steven Jarvis, Manny Roots, Lam Lee, Frankie Perez, and more.

*We are having the premier at 8pm at the shop.

Free Skateboard Winner from Pop-Up #4

At our latest Pop-Up contest we went out to Bithlo Skatepark in Bithlo, Florida.
The Pop-Up Contest Series is a bi-monthly contest for local skateboarders to show their stuff at their favorite and free local skateparks in Orlando, FL.

Before we left, we hid a Gold shirt and a set of wheels somewhere at the park. We then put a video out saying whoever finds the swag and brings it into the shop within 24 hours, that person will get a free skateboard. Here is our winner Drew with his free swag.

Calling out Candyland Skatepark for Pop-Up Stop #2

This Sunday will be our 2nd Pop-Up skateboard contest and we will be popping up at Candyland Skate Park in Longwood, Florida. Not far from downtown Orlando.
We will be showing up around 1pm. Come prepared to skate ninja.

Recap of May 3rd Pop-Up Contest at Azalea Skate Park

Check out the recap video of our first Pop-Up contest for our summer series.
We started at Azalea in east Orlando. This park has been a great local and free spot for kids to skateboard under shade with supplied drinking fountains.

We will be popping up every two weeks at a random skatepark in Orlando to hold a best trick contest and a game of SKATE with the winner and a Galactic G skater. The winners of each contest will have a free ticket to our end of the year contest held at the Orlando Skatepark.

Next contest is May 17th.

This Sunday - May 3rd - will be our first series Pop-Up at a local Orlando skatepark. Make sure you hit a local park for the chance to win "Best Trick" and a Game Of SKATE contest. We are popping up at a random park so check our Facebook page the day of May 3rd to see where we are heading.

We will be popping up to local free parks around the Orlando area, and holding a best trick contest at each park. The winner each time will have a chance to play a game of S.K.A.T.E. against one of our team riders for an additional prize package. Each winner from each park goes on to the final best trick contest which will be held at Orlando Skatepark to go against all the other winners. Contest series will be held only on the weekends.
