Galactic G Skateshop located in the northern side of the Ivanhoe District in Orlando, Florida, is the oldest and largest core skateshop in Central Florida. The business has been around for more than 20 years and offers a place for people to learn about skateboard culture and shop a large selection of top name brands like NikeSB, Vans, Adidas, Etnies, DCshoes, Quietlife, and Primitive. With employees that have been skateboarding their whole life, Galactic G gives the ultimate shopping experience.
Customers of the shop always seem to be in a good mood.
As you walk around and see employee's setting up product to look its best, you see them still helping customers with a smile on their face. All types of people come in to this skateshop. Within 1hour, you can see a Mother buying her second son a board, a group of teenagers buying cool shirts, and skateboarders talking about the latest tricks that have recently been done. You will surely see some NikeSB heads looking to cop the newest shoe release in special box's and "old school" dudes looking for the sale on Vans.
Everyone seems to be shopping for different product which is great, and you can assume its because there is a lot to offer here. Between the speedy service, the large selection of apparel and skateboards, and the fun talk that always has skateboarding in it. You can literally stay her for hours and seem like no time has passed at all, it's so welcoming.
Lets talk about Skateboards.
Grab a ladder because the skate wall is so tall.
Customers spend a minimum of 20 minutes before leaving the wall.
Then they spend another 5 minutes picking grip tape because there are so many new awesome graphic grips.
One of the employee's, Davin, builds boards for caring customers. He always takes pride building a complete and builds every single board as if it were his own. Some shops just throw the griptape on with air bubbles, they don't put the bearings in all the way or tighten the bushings to their customers preference. Davin asks customers to stand on their board to make sure its perfect before the customer leaves. That kind of person working at a skateshop is hard to find and we are super lucky to have him!
