Adidas came into the skateboard scene back in 1997 with pro skaters at the time, the Gonz and Matt Beach. Nike had not broken into the skate scene yet and the famed soccer company took advantage early.
Once Nike Skateboarding came around in 2006, Adidas brought on Denis Busenitz on and has been building the brand to new levels for the last 10 years.  That's why, on our giant shoe wall, Nike SB is next to Adidas.
